キュプラ・和紙・シルクの3種の素材を、二重織で織ったこの生地は、山梨県富士吉田市の織屋さんによるもの。そこに、一つひとつ手描きで描かれた蚊取り線香の柄を、シルクスクリーンでプリントしました。それぞれ違った動きをみせる蚊取り線香は、まるで実際にぐるぐると回っているかのよう。素朴なしわ感と独特なドライな手触りが感じられる生地です。

This double weave fabric made of cupra, Japanese paper, and silk is woven by a weaver in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The hand-drawn patterns of mosquito coils are silk-screen printed on the fabric. Each mosquito coil moves in a different way, as if it is actually spinning in a circle. The fabric has a rustic wrinkled feel and a unique dry touch.
