しなやかなレーヨンリネンの素材に、レースと新聞紙のプリントを施した生地です。モチーフとなった精密なレースは、昭和初期に実際に制作されていたもので、よく見ると下絵と見られる図柄も。台紙として使われていた新聞紙には、当時の生活の一部が綴られています。

This fabric is made of supple rayon linen with lace and newspaper prints. The precise lace motif was actually produced in the early Showa period (early 20th century), and if you look closely, you can see a design that appears to be a rough sketch. The newspaper used as a backing paper describes a part of life in those days. It is a piece of time that has stopped flowing, clothed in memories of the distant past.
